About this spot
Delamere Forest is a large wood in Cheshire, England approx 12 miles east of Chester. The woodland covers an area of 972 hectares (2,400 acres) making it the largest area of woodland in the county. Delamere Forest encompasses mixed woodlands, blocks of coniferous plantation, as well as grassland and wetland. The area provides a habitat for numerous bird species.
There are numerous leisure activities catered for including, waymarked walking and bike trails, Go Ape, Segway riding, horse riding, orienteering etc.
