About this spot
All of these photos are taken within 50m of each other. The trail up Dead Horse Gap is quite steep with the incline to start for the first kilometre. I would recommend either being just above average fitness or take plenty of rest stops like I did! What makes this a little harder is the altitude with being in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW which is part of the highest point in Australia.
As this is part of the Koscuiszko National Park, there is an entrance fee. If you go early prior to the booths being open you may get a ticket, but that ticket is only priced at the entrance fee to the park so you won't be out of pocket.
