About this spot
On the west bank of the Nile, near Saqqara archeological site there is a small museum at the village Mit Rahina. The museum is most famous for the colossal statue of Ramses II, one of greatest Pharaohs. The statue is more than 10m long (and that's without legs) and is situated in a covered building for protection from the elements.
