About this spot
Located in Thonac, the Château de Belcayre rests on a rocky outcrop that rises several tens of meters above the Vézère.

Belcayre Castle is a 14th century residence, altered in the 16th century, then in the 19th century.

It consists of a dwelling preceded by a châtelet and a drawbridge. A round tower with machicolations dating from the 15th century adjoins it.
