About this spot
The Castle of the Three Dragons (in Catalan, "Castell dels Tres Dragons") is a historic building located in the Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona, Spain. It is one of the iconic landmarks of the city and is known for its distinctive modernist architecture. The Castle of the Three Dragons was designed by the Catalan architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner, who was a prominent figure in the Modernisme architectural movement. It was built between 1887 and 1888 for the Barcelona Universal Exposition, which took place in the Parc de la Ciutadella.

The building is a prime example of the Modernisme style, which is often compared to the Art Nouveau movement in other parts of Europe. It features characteristic elements such as decorative tiles, ornate ironwork, and intricate details in its design.
