About this spot
Casa Bruno Cuadros is situated on La Rambla, one of Barcelona's most famous and bustling streets.
The building is a prime example of eclectic architecture, which incorporates various architectural styles and decorative elements into a single structure. It was designed by architect Josep Vilaseca i Casanovas and built in 1883. One of the most distinctive features of Casa Bruno Cuadros is the decorative elements adorning its façade. These include intricate wrought-iron balconies, colorful tiles, ornate reliefs, and sculptures. The most notable feature is the large dragon sculpture that wraps around one corner of the building, giving it a whimsical and oriental appearance. The dragon is said to be inspired by a famous dragon-shaped umbrella that was sold in the store.

Casa Bruno Cuadros was originally constructed as a commercial building and housed a famous umbrella shop. The building is considered an architectural and cultural landmark in Barcelona, and it reflects the eclectic design trends of the late 19th century.
