About this spot
Name given in commemoration of the stay in Barcelona of Saint Vincent Ferrer, canonized in the year 1456. The saint preached a famous sermon in the Born district, during which he comforted the citizens who lacked bread due to the shortage of wheat. The proximity of the street to the place where he delivered the sermon suggests that it was dedicated to him as a sign of gratitude and veneration.

The passage offers a typical view on a passagway as many can be discovered in this old quarter of Barcelona.
