About this spot
Baracoa is Cuba's oldest and most isolated town. It has a lot to offer to photographers in love with architecture and colorful houses. Sometimes scenary is almost surreal. To start with there is an interesting municipal museum located in Fuerte Matachun (Matachin Fortress). Walking up the Jose Marti Street. you can admire plenty of simple colorful houses. It is photographers paradise. Left and right interesting facades of small wooden houses. Some painted in vivid colors yet some in deteriorated state but nevertheless interesting.
