About this spot
These medieval towers are the last remaining vestiges of the old city fortifications. The southern tower, or Speyetoren (± 1385), was part of the ramparts of the Count's castle while the northern tower, or Ingelborchtoren (± 1413), was built to defend the city by means of primitive artillery equipment.
Only open during certain festivities. During the year only accessible with a guide.
