The USS Texas (BB-35) is a historic U.S. Navy battleship that was commissioned on March 12, 1914, serving in both World War I and World War II. Texas was one of the most powerful battleships of its time, featuring innovations like anti-aircraft defense and underwater torpedo protection. Following its decommissioning in 1948, it was preserved as a museum ship and is now anchored on the Buffalo Bayou in La Porte, Texas.
