Assisi isn't exactly a hidden gem, and it can get pretty crowded. But I still wanted to include it in this list of uncrowded photo spots because I want to show you a vantage point where you can capture the majestic Basilica and the old town, stretching out impressively along a hill, without any distractions or crowds.
If you have the time, I highly recommend visiting Assisi itself and the Basilica before your sunset shoot. During the summer, this might not be the best idea, as thousands of other people will have the same thought. But off-season and early morning Assisi is still a great place to discover.
