The nobleman Charles Alexis de Montpellier designed a series of historic gardens on the estate in the 18th century, surrounding his castle. You can admire French, Italian and English gardens. At the cash register you will receive a guide with an explanation about the walk. You will be guided through all kinds of fountains, water features, waterfalls, gazebos, fake caves, statues, flower gardens, a vegetable garden, sleek and frivolous gardens where damsels and noblemen probably played frisky games of blindfold between the hedges etc. ... Impressive is the higher situated long canal that there is. still allows water to flow through the different levels above and below ground without any energy source
