About this spot
Segla is probably the most known peak in the northern Norway. It rises more than 500 meters straight from the ocean. The best view point for the peak is from Hesten, an adjacent peak. The path is well kept but there are many secondary track that may confuse someone not used to hike. It isn't an easy walk and getting on the top of Hesten requires some work and a lot of attention.

It is a mountain hike so proper footwear and clothing is highly recommended. It can get really chilly and windy, also the weather can be really unpredictable.

When raining and on humid days the path can get very muddy and slippy.
During winter the path can be covered in snow and hard to follow.

There is a path so it is best to avoid walking off of it.
