Topkapi is one of the top tourist sites in Istanbul and definitely not to be missed. Although it can be very crowded, it is worth a visit. The palace is rich with interior, exterior and details. Built in mid XV century, the palace has several court yards and separate buildings which are worth exploring. Every building has specific assignment: one of them is for pottery, one for armouring, the Harem, etc. Some of the buildings have restricted access but with a little patience you can get in and take pictures.
