I like off-the-beaten track and when it came to Death Valley one of my favorite spots to photograph as off 20 Mule Team Canyon Road. There are some nice climbs for the early hike in dark to have the position. you want for sunrise. One of the things I noticed most when you are up after a climb is how still and quiet is while standing alone on a peak...its a beauty of a place to be!
