About this spot
Xiangyang Park was reopened in 2016 as a public open park - a relatively new concept in a country where most parks are enclosed with fixed opening hours and often even entrance fees. Just off a major road, it offers a peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle in the heart of the business and commercial district. Its long corridor of plane trees with a traditional pagoda at the end offer a classically Chinese backdrop for a range of traditional arts such as tai-chi, which are practiced in the newly-reopened public space.
