The cathedral is known for its impressive Norman architecture, which dates back to the 11th century. It features a variety of architectural styles, including Gothic, Romanesque, and Perpendicular. The cathedral also has a number of notable features such as an ornate chapter house, a 14th-century cloister and a beautiful stained-glass windows. The Worcester Cathedral Library holds a number of rare books and manuscripts, including a 12th-century copy of the Worcester Gospels. It is a place of worship, as well as a popular tourist destination.
