About this spot
Woody Bay is a bay on the North Devon coast of England, three miles west of Lynton and eight east of Combe Martin with a stony beach.
The bay is quiet and peaceful, but popular with locals who know about the large rock pool for bathing in.
On a low tide, rocks pools and rocks are exposed with a small area to explore.
At high tide the bay is completely covered so timing is crucial.
Getting down to the bay involves a 30-40minute walk down the cliff road (250m) passing numerous hotels and B&Bs along the public road.
