About this spot
Above Multnomah Falls, Multnomoh Creek drops through a series of three waterfalls in the space of about a third of a mile. All are located along the Larch Mountain Trail.

The first is Dutchman Falls. It is actually three small closely spaced drops, the largest and most easily seen from the trail being the middle drop, where the creek slides over a 15-foot vertical drop made by a slanting basalt ledge.

The second, and most photogenic, is Wiesendanger Falls. Here the creek drops over 55-foot ledge into a small plunge pool. Just downstream is a large overhanging basalt formation known as the Dutchman's Tunnel.

The final of the three is Ecola Falls, another drop of 55 feet.
