About this spot
Since October 6, 1982, the Brussels metro has a stop here: Weststation (French: Gare de l'Ouest). The station was originally located on the southwestern branch (line 1B) of the east-west line.
Since renovation, on the level -2 opposite the platform towards Delacroix, there is a colorful collage by Yves Zurstrassen. On level -3, along the track towards Elisabeth / Koning Boudewijn, there are thirteen black and white photos of two by three meters, made by Stephan Vanfleteren. They represent ordinary Brussels residents, who for one day play mannequin in creations by Brussels fashion designers, including Christophe Coppens, Annemie Verbeke and Olivier Strelli.
