About this spot
Thor’s Cave is a natural cavern in the Manifold Valley, near the village of Wetton. It is prominent from the valley below and an icon of the area. The River Manifold starts off at Axe Edge Moor along with the River Dove and they run in parallel, coursing through their
own valleys before meeting each other again 14 miles later at Ilam.

The cave is the main feature of the valley and dominates a lot of the surrounding views.
