About this spot
Victoria Falls is one of the world's most impressive natural wonders. Majestic waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa is considered to be one of the world's largest due to its width of 1,708 meters. It provides habitat for several unique species of plants and animals. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The local tribes used to call the waterfall Mosi-o-Tunya “The smoke that thunders”. Scottish missionary and famous explorer of Africa David Livingstone (1813-1873) named it after Queen Victoria.
