About this spot
The Port House is an innovative building on the Antwerp Island by the British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid (1950-2016). It houses various departments of the Antwerp Port Authority.

This funky new building looks like the hull of a sailing ship with a protruding bowsprit with the surface of the facets of a diamond facing the Kattendijk dock. It unites Antwerp as a world port and its diamond industry.

In tribute to the architect, the square in front of the Port House is called Zaha Hadidplein.
