United Kingdom The Devil's Kitchen

About this spot
The Devil's Kitchen is the name of the cracks between Y Garn and Glyder Fawr. A stream runs down between the crack/rocks which looks like a chimney as the plume rises. Hence the name The Devil's Kitchen.

The climb up through the twisting rocky climb offers some of the best views over Cwm Idwal. During Summer it's popular with everyone but is a hard climb up, whereas in Winter the staircase becomes a death trap and full winter kit is required.

For this reason, I would only advice the Devil's Kitchen and Glyder Fawr during fair weather and summer for those who are knew to mountaineering.
