About this spot
Tegg’s Nose Country Park lies off the Cat and Fiddle and just outside of the Peak District borders near Macclesfield. Tegg’s Nose itself is actually the name of the hill with a height of 360m at the south point of the country park.

There is evidence of activity within the park since the Bronze Age, including a burial chamber. More recently though, the park was a quarry up until 1955. On clear days from here, it is possible to see the Welsh Hills. The Berwyns are usually visible but on exceptionally clear days it’s
possible to see Snowdon, Wales’ highest peak, which is around 90 miles away as the crow flies.
