About this spot
Deep in the coastal wilderness of Northern California, a small grove of trees on a secluded bend along Redwood Creek managed to evade the axes of prolific loggers in the early 1900’s. This grove, kept in its pristine original state, stands as the premier example of Coastal Redwood old growth alive today - including several of the tallest documented trees in the world. A well groomed path brings visitors on a loop with plenty of opportunities to capture the sheer size and height of these great trees, as well as several views of the crystal clear Redwood Creek. Tall Trees Grove can be included as a day trip on a Pacific coast itinerary, or as a longer journey with the option to primitive camp along on the gravel bar next to the creek.
