About this spot
Monument by Josef Václav Myslbek depicts Saint Wenceslas, Czech patron. The main statue of Saint Wenceslas on the horse is accompanied by the four other Czech patron saints: Saint Ludmila, Saint Agnes of Bohemia, Saint Prokop and Saint Adalbert of Prague.
Standing in the upper area of the ascending Wenceslas Square, the monument is a natural dominant of the square. It is place where Prague people tend to meet (using the phrase "we meet under the horse") and also a place where lot of demonstrations is held.
When looking up the square, beautiful and newly reconstructed building of the National Museum is in the background.
