About this spot
Spiegelgracht is a canal in Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is located in the Jordaan neighborhood, which is known for its picturesque canals and charming houses. The Spiegelgracht is considered one of the more tranquil canals in the Jordaan area and is known for its beautiful, historic houses. Many of these houses date back to the 17th and 18th century and are considered some of the most well-preserved examples of traditional Dutch architecture in the city.

The name "Spiegelgracht" means "Mirror Canal" in Dutch. This name probably comes from the fact that the canal is relatively narrow and the houses on the canal are tall and closely packed, which creates a reflection of the houses on the water.
