The 29-mile Rapid is not large, but it makes a pretty contrast of white and green water against the orange and reds of the canyon wall. However, what makes this spot special is the added bonus of Silver Grotto, a small and colorful amphitheater near the river in Shinumo Wash. Twentynine-mile Rapid is part of the Roaring Twenties, a series of rapids between river mile 20 and 30.
