About this spot
The Santa Clara River Reserve is a vast BLM-administered recreational area with an extensive network of well-maintained multi-use trails. An unhurried jaunt to the northern petroglyphs area should take about 2 hours. Tempi’Po’Op, is pronounced “tumpee poo oop,” and means “rock writing.”
