Otherwise known as Santa Caterina del Sasso, this Roman Catholic Monastery sits perched dramatically on the cliff-face on the eastern shores of Lake Maggiore. The chapel dates back to the 12th century and various other buildings were tacked on over the years. This location offers some fantastic views across the lake, along with the ability to explore the architecture of the various buildings around the monastery, including some impressive frescoes.
