About this spot
The Royal Palace in Brussels is the administrative residence and main workplace of the King. He works there daily with his employees. In his office at the Royal Palace in Brussels, the King receives representatives of the political institutions, foreign guests (Heads of State, ambassadors) and other guests.
The palace is characterized by many neo styles, of which Leopold was a supporter. Only the peristyle and the balcony of the old palace have been preserved. The street was moved to make room for a front garden, consisting of three ground floors. The facade, which is completely symmetrical, was crowned with a large pediment in the center. There are two honor gates along the street side and two pavilions on the corners.
