About this spot
In the Middle Ages, water had to be brought by the wooden pipes many kilometres long to the town. To show, how valued water is, Jan Smíšek from Vrchoviště had fund building of this fountain. Till 1890 it sever as a drink water reservoir, today it is one of the symbols of Kutná Hora.
