About this spot
The cairn is in memory of Ralston Claud Muir, who loved to climb in the glen and was a train driver on the West Highland line. His brother says, he would have loved the attention and the photos of the spot.
The viewpoint at Ralston Cairn offers spectacular views of the Glen with an interesting foreground element and the magnificent Three Sisters in the background. It is well known among hikers and photographers but not as busy as the usual spots in Glencoe.
