About this spot
Puncknowle (pronounced ‘Punnel’) knoll is one of West Dorset’s more famous landmarks perched high above the coast road, with its forlorn looking little house perched on top. From the derelict house, coastguards once kept watch over the tumultuous seas below and it is this vantage point and the views from Lyme Bay to Portland that make a it a worthy stop.
