About this spot
Princes Pier on Melbourne's foreshore is the second-largest timber-piled wharf structure in Australia. It was originally completed in 1915 and served as a major arrival point for new migrants until the late 60's. No longer operational, part of the pier has been restored, leaving the rows of original timber pylons.
