About this spot
The town of Spa is famous for its several natural mineral springs, and is also the location of mineral water producer Spa. It is actually the town where the term spa originates from. Peter the Great Springs houses the most abundant natural spring, with naturally carbonated water, rich in iron and mineral salts. An average of 21,000 liters come to the surface per day. The building was built in 1880 by Victor Besme and completely restored in 2012 by architect Léo Haesbroeck. It houses the Tourist Office and the famous Golden Book of Spa, a work by the painter Antoine Fontaine, 9 meters long, with a cheerful chronological disorder of 92 characters who have taken a cure in Spa.

Interactive animations show the riches of the city of Spa: its prestigious past but also the current dynamics of the thermal city.

Open: during the hours of the Tourist Office. Access to the source: € 1.
