United Kingdom Pilsbury Castle

About this spot
The Hamlet of Pilsbury is further down the
valley and hosts Pilsbury Castle. The castle
is believed to be an Iron Age fortification
with earthworks still visible. Previously it is
thought to have had a motte and two baileys. Nowadays the site is little of what it once used to be, with a large limestone outcrop protruding randomly out of the ground being the closest thing that resembles a castle. The castle has a great view up the Dove Valley which looks to the not so distant Parkhouse Hill
and Chrome Hill.
