About this spot
Built by Sir Victor Sassoon and originally called the Cathay Hotel, this is one of Shanghai’s iconic art deco hotels.

Today it is owned by the Fairmont Group but still retains much of its old character. During the evening, possibly the world’s oldest (if perhaps not the best!) jazz bands plays in the hotel’s Jazz Bar - a great place to soak up some “Olde Shanghai” vibes over some very potent cocktails! Make sure to get there early to get a good seat.
