The Falls are located in Ohiopyle State Park which is within a few hours travel of several major metropolitan areas. The number of visitors puts tremendous pressure on the plants and wildlife. Be careful on the rocks along the river as they can be slippery and a fall into the river can have serious consequences. Specific drone regulations apply in Pennsylvania State Parks. Those regulations can be found on the website noted with this posting.
About this spot
This area of the Youghiogheny River is noted for its rapids and white water. The autumn foliage is reputed to be beautiful and may be the best time to shoot. These photos were taken in early July. There are trails along both sides of the river. There are observation platforms both at and below the Falls
