About this spot
Niagara Falls is the location of the perhaps the most famous set of waterfalls in North America. Three waterfalls make up Niagara Falls, the largest of which is Horseshoe Falls, which extends from the Canadian side of the river to Goat Island, which is in the United States. The other two are American Falls and Bridal Veil Falls, both on the US side, between Goat Island and the US side of the river. Bridal Veil Falls is the a smaller waterfall right next to Goat Island, while American Falls is the much larger falls just to the north.

Table Rock formerly was a rock ledge that hung out over the Niagara canyon on the Canadian side of the river. In 1818, part of Table Rock collapsed into the river. Another part broke off in 1850, taking a horse-drawn carriage with it. After several more rockfalls, most of the rest of the rock was blasted off in 1935. Today, just a small portion remains.
