This viewpoint took quite a while to reach - you have to descend the stairs and walk around the edge below the 'classic' cliffs viewpoint. The terrain is about 45 degree slope with large boulders. It's highly advisable to pause on occasion to plan your route ahead - and remember it for the return journey. Some areas are simply impassable and you have to go back, and around, and try again. This little inlet makes a great foreground element.

This viewpoint took quite a while to reach - you have to descend the stairs and walk around the edge below the 'classic' cliffs viewpoint. The terrain is about 45 degree slope with large boulders. Taken from the steep rocky bank below the cliffs. Go down the steps and walk along the wall... climb over and keep going. Mind your step, it's very easy to trip and fall here, particularly in the dark.

About this spot
Perhaps one of the best places for sunset photography on the Isle of Skye. Neist Point offers spectacular views towards the small lighthouse and the epic cliffs with the setting sun casting perfect light onto the cliff. There are several viewpoints from which one of them is mostly full of photographers. I would recommend you to go to the first viewpoint which offers a fresh perspective. Just be careful and watch your steps! You can also walk towards the left side of the lighthouse and try to get some close up shots of it with the crushing waves.
