About this spot
The Natchez Trace Parkway stretches for about 444 miles from Natchez, on the banks of the Mississippi, all the way to Nashville. This double-arch bridge is one of the first sights you will find if you travel from north to south, and is found a few miles outside Franklin.
The concrete double-arch bridge opened in 1994, and the elegant design has led it to receive several design awards.
Sadly, the bridge has also seen more than its fair share of suicides over the years, and as a result features tall fencing along its length.
