About this spot
The Museum of Glass celebrates the Pacific Northwest’s contribution to the art of glass making. Tacoma native Dale Chihuly was fundamental in its founding, and many of his works can be seen on the museum grounds. Paid admission allows access to the museums many art pieces, as well as to the hot shop, which is contained within the museum’s iconic slanting cone. In the hot shop, visitors can watch live glass blowing and casting. The grounds of the museum (available without paid admission) include two reflecting pools, a fountain, and the “Bridge of Glass.”
