The MGM Grand Las Vegas is one of the Strip's best known locations which at the time of opening in 1993 was the largest hotel in the world. It still has the distinction of being the largest hotel in the United States with 6,852 rooms. Its vast casino floor is flanked by bars and restaurants - a riot of neon and a cacophony of sound.
Outside the resort on the Las Vegas Strip you'll find it hard to miss the giant gold-plated Lion which is 45 feet tall and weighs about 50 tons.
