Be courteous if you are capturing people in your shots - many people won't be comfortable being part of your shots. It's always best to ask permission or have a conversation/buy something in the shop or from the stall so that you create a natural connection.

About this spot
The Medina of Essaouira, located on Morocco's Atlantic coast, is a vibrant and well-preserved example of an 18th-century fortified seaport town. It was designed by French architect Théodore Cornut under the reign of Sultan Sidi Mohammed ben Abdallah, who envisioned Essaouira as a key trading hub and military bastion. The Medina's unique blend of European, African, and Arab influences is evident in its architecture, which is characterized by whitewashed buildings, blue accents, and intricate wood carvings. The bustling narrow streets are lined with lively markets, artisans' workshops, and traditional cafes, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into Moroccan culture. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2001, the Medina of Essaouira continues to captivate travelers with its rich history, picturesque setting, and thriving artistic community.
