Mahagandhayon Monastery (ဆုတောင်းပြည့်ကျောင်းတိုက်) is one of the largest monasteries in Myanmar (Burma). It is located in Amarapura, not far from popular U Bein Bridge and Mandalay. Over a thousand novice monks reside here and the biggest attraction is the late morning lunch ceremony.
