About this spot
This is just located from the esplanade of the Basilica of Fourviere and from this place, the view is breathtaking on LYON, whether for those wonderful sunrises on Lyon with Le Mont Blanc in the background or those Blues Hours in the evening.
It is the most beautiful point of view on Lyon with that of the Garden of Curiosities a little further.
The esplanade adjoining the Basilica is just above the Parc des Hauteurs.
It connects the outskirts of the Fourviere basilica to the Loyasse cemetery, and allows, via footbridges, to descend near the banks of the Saone west of St. Paul. One of the most important works of art is the Quatre-Vents footbridge, a viaduct that used to allow trams to transport travelers and coffins between the old terminus of the string of Saint-Paul (now decommissioned). and Loyasse Cemetery.
