About this spot
Lincoln Cathedral is a medieval cathedral located in the city of Lincoln, England. It is the seat of the Bishop of Lincoln and one of the finest examples of Gothic architecture in Europe. The cathedral was originally built in the 12th century and has undergone several renovations and additions over the centuries. It was known for its impressive spire, which was the third tallest in the world (but since collapsed), and for its collection of medieval stained glass windows. The cathedral also has a long history and has been an important religious and cultural site for over 900 years. It is open to visitors and is a popular tourist destination.
