Along the south coast of Lake Skadar, near Murići village there is a handful of small islands with orthodox monasteries. This is a very remote area, away from the tourist bustle of the coast a unique experience while traveling in Montenegro.
You will need to hire a boat to visit the monasteries. You can ask around Murići and locals will recommend who to talk to. I suggest spending a night in the village so that you can visit the monasteries early in the morning.
